Welcome To Mr. Kraemers
The integrated social studies program is designed to incorporate all areas of social studies into one class. Students will be introduced to topics in economics,geography,psychology,and sociology, through the traditonal study of history and government. Academic skills are connected to real life situations through the use of current events in the curriculum. Team teaching is utilized so students receive an all-around education, which blur the lines between specific academic areas.
Instructional time contists of five, seventy minutes periods a week. The use of computers is stressed daily as students work to enhance their abilities through the use of PLATO software and on Study Island.com. Both of these programs allow students to establish a base knowledge of the subject matter that is then applied in the classroom through a variety of ways, including:

video creations and etc.
Students earn grades using these computer programs, which creates individual student accountability, as well as in the traditional classroom. Students will delevop their effectiveness to work together in groups and on various projects to achieve complete understanding through multiple teaching strategies.
