The Five B's

At DTDHS you will be prepared for real world experiences and one process that will help you is to follow the Five B's :

  BE PREPARED:
Students must come to school ready to learn.
This means the student has showered, eaten breakfast, finished their homework, and is ready to focus on the task at hand.

Morning rituals help focus your thoughts.
There will always be events in your life that cause distractions, it is the rituals of daily preparation that help you cope, help you focus.

BE ON TIME:
Early is on time and on time is late.
The value of being where you are supposed to be on time and prepared can never be underestimated.
Being on time is about reliability, it's about focus and purpose.
Being on time allows you to focus on the task at hand.

BE RESPECTFUL:
Speaking with etiquette and respect is vital for a positive, productive environment.
Perception, creditbility and community are all built from the verbal and nonverbal actions of its members.

BE ACCOUNTABLE:
Students will own their futures, their work, and their actions.
DTDHS will teach students to look at themselves, their actions and their decisions as focal point reflection.
Everyone controls their own destiny!

BE CONSISTENT:
The hardest action is the same action everyday.
The hardest achievement is to ingrain a habit, behavior, or process.
Discipline yourself everyday to live and breathe the Five Bee's!!!!
